At least 88 injured following Iranian missile attack on southern Israeli town

Editors Pick

At least 88 people were injured following an Iranian missile attack Saturday on the southern Israeli town of Arad near the Dead Sea, according to the emergency service Magen David Adom.

The tally includes 10 in serious condition, 19 moderately injured, 55 lightly injured and four panic victims, it said.

The strike also damaged at least 20 buildings in Arad.

Iranian state television described Saturday’s strikes as a “response” to the attack on Iran’s Natanz nuclear enrichment complex earlier in the day, marking a stark new phase of tit-for-tat targetting in the conflict, now in its fourth week.

Hostilities in the region have escalated since US and Israeli strikes on Iran began February 28, with Tehran retaliating with repeated drone and missile strikes targetting US military assets in several gulf countries. – AA
