ANKARA (AA) – US President Donald Trump lashed out at the 2026 Grammy Awards on Truth Social, calling the ceremony \u201cthe worst\u201d and \u201cunwatchable,\u201d and threatened to sue host Trevor Noah over what he described as a \u201cfalse and defamatory\u201d joke linking him to Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump posted his criticism shortly after the event, focusing much of his anger on Noah, whom he compared unfavourably to Jimmy Kimmel and described as a \u201ctotal loser\u201d who should have been fact-checked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His reaction centred on a joke Noah made while presenting the Song of the Year award to Billie Eilish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSong of the Year – that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein\u2019s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton,\u201d Noah said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump rejected the remark as untrue, saying he could not speak for former President Bill Clinton but insisted he has never visited Epstein\u2019s island or anywhere near it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claimed no such accusation had ever been made against him before, \u201cnot even by the mainstream media,\u201d and argued that the joke crossed the line into defamation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The US president said he would pursue legal action, vowing to send his lawyers after Noah and seek \u201cmajor damages.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also referenced a past legal victory involving ABC\u2019s George Stephanopoulos, using a mocking nickname for the anchor, and suggested that CBS could confirm how such cases end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump ended his post with a warning that he planned to \u201chave some fun\u201d with Noah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
